Dice Roll Wheel
The Dice Roll Wheel is a free virtual dice roller that works like a six-sided die, landing on a number from 1 to 6 with an equal chance for each.
Spin the wheel whenever a board game, classroom activity or online game needs a dice roll. Every number covers one sixth of the wheel, and each roll is independent of the last.
Change the numbers to make a different die. Add 7 and 8 for an eight-sided die, or list 1 to 20 for a d20, or use the Random Number Wheel 1–20.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about how the wheel works, what it saves and how fair it is. Want proof? Try the randomness audit.
Is a virtual dice roll fair?
Yes. Each number from 1 to 6 has exactly a one in six chance, about 16.7%, chosen by your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator.
Can I roll two dice?
Spin twice and add the results. For a two-dice total, list the numbers 2 to 12 instead, but note that real two-dice totals are not equally likely.
Can I make a die with more sides?
Yes. Add numbers to the Entries box, such as 1 to 8, 1 to 12 or 1 to 20.
Does a previous roll change the next one?
No. Every roll is independent. A 6 is just as likely after three 6s in a row.
Can I change the entries on this wheel?
Yes. Edit the Entries box next to the wheel, one entry per line, and the wheel updates as you type. Your version is saved in this browser, and Reset brings back the template's entries.
Does the wheel keep my results?
Yes. The Results tab lists every spin, newest first, until you clear it or leave the page. Your entries and settings stay saved in this browser.
Does this wheel work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
What if I don't like the result?
Spin again. If a result disappoints you, that can be a useful sign of what you really wanted.
